Held December 8, 2024 at WeWork Taipei, the event brought together 80 university students, recent graduates, and young professionals to examine AI's practical applications in education and civic engagement—through the lens of Taiwan's pioneering digital democracy movement.
The afternoon featured keynotes from Gisele Chou (co-author of Plurality, Digital Innovator) and Yen-Lin "Mashbean" Huang (Web3 architect at Ministry of Digital Affairs), alongside panel discussions on deliberative democracy, the future of work and education, and intimate networking roundtables with industry leaders.
Participants explored Taiwan's approach to digital literacy as democratic infrastructure, examining how civic tech and education innovation can ensure emerging AI tools remain accessible and shaped by all stakeholders—not just technical elites.
